BEHIND THE MIC

I was a childhood chatterbox and a nosy youth, so it only makes sense that I became a journalist.

As host of OPB’s All Things Considered and narrator/producer for the three time Emmy-winning food series Superabundant, my reporting highlights unique stories from diverse communities, often focusing on food systems, pop culture, and LGBTQIA+ communities. I've spent nearly two decades as an audio journalist and my work has been heard on NPR's Newscasts, “All Things Considered” and “Weekend Edition” as well as on APM's "Marketplace", and PRX’s “Living on Earth".

As a freelance journalist, I was the longtime producer/editor for the weekly radio program and podcast “Literary Arts: The Archive Project” and created and hosted “The Tasty Thread,” a limited series pandemic podcast for Pacific Northwest grocer New Seasons Market.

Before joining OPB, I spent six years on-air as a host and producer at radio stations in Portland, OR, Spokane, WA and Missoula, MT and am an alumna of the School of Journalism at the University of Montana.
